I leaned back in the tub and turned on my portable cd player. I closed my eyes. "Celebrate good times, come on!" I sang loudly along with the music. I laughed. "CELEBRATION!" "Shut up!" I heard Mark say laughing as he tapped the bathroom door. "No!" I said. I layed there while I listened to a few songs, then I washed and stepped out of the tub. "Lunch time!" I heard my Mom shout. I wrapped a towel around me and went to my bedroom. I dried off and got dressed, then joined everyone in the kitchen for lunch. Mom had made her famous chili mac. Basically just spicey chili with macaroni in it. "Sorry about earlier." Mark said. "Right." I said rolling my eyes. "We didn't mean to scare him away." He said. "You should probably keep your door cracked open when you have a boy in your room with you." Dad said as he sat down at the table. "Nah. I think I'm old enough to have a boy alone with me in my bedroom." I said. "Not under my roof." He said. "Ted." Mom said glaring at him. He cleared his throat and didn't say anything else. I ate my food quickly. I grabbed the chordless phone and went outside. I sat down on the small porch and called Brandon. "Hi." He answered with a chuckle. "Hi." I said. "What's up? I just got home." He said. "I gotta hit the shower." "Mind if I come over?" I asked. "Uh. . . sure." He said. I giggled nervously. "Did you already have something going on?" "Some friends invited me to go four wheeling, but I can cancel." He said. "Oh. No that's okay." "I'm kind of beat anyway. Come by." He said. "You sure?" I asked. "Yes. I've been thinking about you since I left earlier. I shouldn't have left." He laughed. I giggled. "I really like your company, Taylor." He said. "I like yours too." "Well, good. I'm glad." He said. "Come over then. Bring a movie." "I don't think we like the same kind of movies." I said. "Well. . . I was hoping we wouldn't end up watching it too much. . ." He laughed. I didn't know what to say, so nothing came out. "I'm sorry." He said. "That's not all you are to me or anything." "I know. It's what I want too." I said. "Oh yeah?" He asked. "Yeah." "Come over then. I'll leave the key under the mat just incase you get here while I'm still in the shower." He said. "Okay." I giggled.
